Chart of the Week for September 07 - September 13, 2007

The Wall Street Journal recently speculated that several conditions could send The Dow higher including, but not limited to Fed interest-rate cuts, tame inflation news, the settling of the bond markets and strong economic growth.

Recently, there has been a lot of media coverage on the decline of The Dow. While The Dow has fallen in the short-term, it is up close to 7.22% in 2007. The Wall Street Journal recently speculated that several conditions could send The Dow higher including, but not limited to Fed interest-rate cuts, tame inflation news, the settling of the bond markets and strong economic growth. As there is no way to predict which direction the market will go, it is important for investors to focus on long-term rather than short-term performance.
